About Your Dentist
Amanda Grass, DMD
Dr. Grass grew up across Kansas, Germany, San Francisco, and Washington, DC while her father served in the Army Corps of Engineers. When he retired from the military, she spent the rest of her childhood in Lexington, Kentucky before moving to New Orleans, Louisiana to attend Tulane University. She then went on to attend the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Louisville, Kentucky and spent her first two years of practice in the city. Dr. Grass met her husband, Matt, in Louisville and they relocated to Surf City several years ago following a change in his career.
Dr. Grass and her husband were married in October of 2023. Together, they have a miniature rescue dog named Harper and a miniature aussie doodle named Bogey who are spoiled beyond belief. Outside of the office, Dr. Grass keeps busy with a variety of interests. She likes to cook and is always trying new recipes from different cultures. On the weekends, she can be found boating (often in the creeks near Lea-Hutaff Island), reading, or tending to her ever-growing collection of houseplants. She has recently taken up photography as a hobby and you may spot some of her photos of local wildlife in the practice! Dr. Grass also loves to travel and has been lucky enough to travel widely throughout Europe, the Caribbean, and the Middle East.
Dr. Grass is passionate about the field of dentistry and has taken a variety of continuing education courses in order to expand the services she can provide to her patients. She enjoys getting to know her patients and helping them achieve their dental goals. She looks forward to meeting you at your next visit!

Life & Hobbies
When not at the dentist's office, Dr. Mincey loves being by the water, whether lying on the beach, being on a boat, or fishing, they’re all her favorite pastimes. When she isn’t by the water in some way, she enjoys binging a good Netflix show with her boyfriend, Jacob. Together, they love to travel and plan on doing more of it soon.
Dr. Mincey also has a passion for volunteering at animal shelters and giving furry friends a “Doggie Day Out.” She has a very close-knit family, who live all over Georgia, and they deserve a lot of credit for who she is today. Dr. Mincey is very excited to be moving to Port City and making some roots!
